Speaker receives French Senator

Manama, Apr. 21 (BNA): Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, received Olivier Cadic, member of the Senate of France, as part of his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Speaker highlighted the historical ties between Bahrain and France and noted the steady progress across various fields. He emphasised the ongoing development of cooperation to serve the shared interests of both countries and peoples, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He noted Bahrain’s commitment to supporting international efforts to maintain security and stability, promote peace in the region, and develop the values of coexistence, tolerance, and human fraternity.
Al Musallam also highlighted the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening bilateral relations and building on the achievements of cooperation, particularly by supporting joint projects and programmes across various sectors, especially in the economic and investment domains, and enhancing trade exchange.
Senator Cadic expressed France’s appreciation for Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations through a range of projects and modern programmes. He also commended Bahrain’s role in supporting international efforts to achieve global peace and security, and its pioneering initiatives in promoting values of coexistence and human tolerance.
