Al-Mashhadani In The Arab Parliament Session: Iraq Is Always Keen On The Nation's Issues

Baghdad / NINA /- Speaker of the Council of Representatives Mahmoud al-Mashhadani stressed: "Iraq is always keen on the issues and concerns of the nation."

In a speech during the opening of the Arab Parliament session on Monday in Baghdad, al-Mashhadani stressed the importance of the sessions of the Arab Parliament and previous committees as a real opportunity to strengthen Arab solidarity in light of the current challenges.

The Speaker of the Council of Representatives condemned the crimes committed by the Zionist occupation against the Palestinian people in Gaza, describing them as exceeding all standards of war.

He also pointed to the importance of the upcoming Arab Summit in the capital, Baghdad, in the middle of next month, calling for investing in strengthening Arab cooperation and combating terrorism. He affirmed Iraq's permanent commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause politically, historically, and popularly.

Al-Mashhadani praised the presence of the Arab delegations, considering it an expression of the Arab countries' confidence in Iraq and its ability to organize and host important international and regional events.

He also called for Arab unity and joint action to achieve security and stability and support the Palestinian cause, expressing his hope for reaching realistic recommendations that support the Palestinian cause and the interests of the Arab peoples. /End
