Omani Minister of Transport from Najaf: We Hope to Activate Joint Cooperation Between Oman and Iraq

Najaf /NINA/- Omani Minister of Transport Saeed bin Hamoud Al-Maawali visited Najaf Governorate on Sunday, where he was received by Najaf Governor Yousef Kanawi.

The two sides held a joint press conference in which they emphasized the importance of strengthening and activating cooperation between the Iraqi and Omani sides.

Minister Al-Maawali said, "It is a great honor for me to be in Najaf Governorate, and we hope to work on common areas. There is momentum, especially in economic affairs, between the two countries."

He added, "We are addressing the issue of land transportation and working to activate information technology and digital government, and we are working on the issue of air transportation."

He continued, "Regarding the development path, we confirm that it is a promising project that will cover all Iraqi governorates. We discussed the issue of livestock, fish, and other agricultural crops, and we hope to play a role in these projects."

For his part, Najaf Governor Yousef Kanawi said, "We were honored by the Omani Minister of Transport and Information Technology's visit, and there are delegations from Oman working in various economic fields." /End
