Qatari Foreign Ministry: The Meeting Between Al-Sudani and Al-Sharaa Was Positive and Sincere, Benefiting Their People and the Entire Region

Baghdad / NINA /- The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the meeting between Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and the head of the transitional phase in Syria, Ahmed al-Sharaa, was positive and sincere, benefiting their peoples and the entire region.
In a statement, Ministry Spokesperson Majid bin Mohammed Al-Ansari said, "The Emir of the country, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, sponsored the meeting held in Doha between Ahmed al-Sharaa, President of the brotherly Syrian Arab Republic, and Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, Prime Minister of the brotherly Republic of Iraq. This stems from the State of Qatar's keenness to consolidate Arab brotherhood and strengthen joint Arab action, as it is a fundamental pillar of security, stability, and renaissance in the region, and to achieve the aspirations of its peoples."
He added, "The meeting took place in a positive atmosphere that reflected the understanding and rapprochement between the two sides, and the sincere desire to advance Arab cooperation to serve the interests of the peoples of the region."
Al-Ansari expressed "the State of Qatar's thanks and appreciation to the Syrian Arab Republic and the Republic of Iraq for their constructive response to this initiative and their positive interaction that contributed to holding this fraternal meeting," expressing "the State of Qatar's hope that it will result in activating joint cooperation and constructive consultation between the two brotherly countries, in a way that benefits their peoples and the entire region."/End
