Work for Implementing Regional Development Policy Propelled in DPRK

 Pyongyang, March 23 (KCNA) -- The non-permanent central committee for promoting Regional Development 20×10 Policy is stepping up the work to make preparations for the operation of hospitals under construction in Kangdong County of Pyongyang Municipality, Ryonggang County of Nampho Municipality and Kusong City of North Phyongan Province.
The committee set in a rational way the scale of training nurses and dentists and other technical personnel to work at those three hospitals and launched the project for training them in a short time.
The work is also going on in various forms and ways to improve the academic qualifications and medical skills of medical workers of the said hospitals and prepare them to handle modern medical equipment skillfully.
Medical workers, technicians and skilled workers are encouraged to widen their intellectual horizon in the course of technical training through a telemedicine system, while disseminating the advanced medical technology data to the hospitals.
Competent medical workers from the central-level hospitals are conducting on the spots a project for passing diagnostic and treatment methods suited to the development trend of modern medicine.
The committee also directs efforts to perfecting and introducing the advanced intelligent medical service system in order to put all medical service processes and management and operation of at city and county hospitals on an IT basis. -0-
