Samsung, SK hynix to showcase latest updates of AI memory, solutions at GTC 2025

SEOUL, March 12 (Yonhap) -- Chip giants Samsung Electronics Co. and SK hynix Inc. will showcase their latest advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) memory and solutions at GTC 2025, an annual tech conference hosted by Nvidia Corp., industry sources said Wednesday.

The GTC 2025 will take place in San Jose, California, for five days beginning Monday (U.S. time), bringing together developers and business leaders from industries that include robotics, computing and automotive technologies to introduce innovations and exchange insights.

Samsung Electronics and SK hynix plan to operate separate booths to display their high-performance AI products, including high bandwidth memory (HBM) and enterprise solid-state drives (eSSDs), during the event, according to the sources.

Samsung Electronics will also host a presentation on its collaboration with Nvidia, highlighting the integration of its GDDR7 graphics memory into Nvidia's graphics processing units (GPUs).

Meanwhile, SK hynix will discuss the expanding role of HBM chips in AI computing.

On Tuesday, Jensen Huang, chief executive officer (CEO) of Nvidia, will deliver a keynote on Nvidia's role in driving the next wave in AI and computing technologies.

At last year's GTC, Huang introduced the new Blackwell GPU, solidifying Nvidia's dominance in the AI processor market.
