Chinese and Russian warships enter Iran’s territorial waters to attend ‘Security Belt 2025’ naval exercise

Tehran, IRNA – Chinese and Russian warships have entered the Iranian territorial waters to participate in “Security Belt 2025” naval exercise in the northern Indian Ocean.

The exercise, codenamed “Security Belt 2025,” will kick off on Monday.

Observers from Azerbaijan Republic, South Africa, Oman, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Qatar, Iraq, the UAE, and Sri Lanka will monitor the exercise.

Vessels from the Iranian Navy and the Naval Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) will take part in the drills, marking the seventh edition of the “Security Belt” exercises conducted by Iran, Russia and China, according to the report.
