Naiband National Park is recognized as the first marine national park in Iran and is one of the most important tourist destinations in Bushehr Province along the Persian Gulf coastline.

Near the port of Asaluyeh in Bushehr Province lies Iran’s most unique bay, Naiband. Naiband Bay is recognized as Iran’s first marine national park. In 1978, Naiband Bay, along with a part of Naiband Cape, covering an area of 19,500 hectares, was listed as a protected area in Iran. This region, along with other areas including Naiband Cape and a portion of the Persian Gulf waters, was officially declared as Iran’s first marine national park in 2004.

The presence of unparalleled natural landscapes, coral hills for diving, sea turtle nesting sites, and many other factors have turned Naiband National Park into a paradise for nature enthusiasts.

Naiband Bay is one of the most valuable marine habitats in the Persian Gulf. Numerous wetlands, mangrove forests, shimmering sandy beaches in the northern and eastern parts, rocky shores in the southern part of the bay, and the western section of the Naiband Protected Area, ancient fig trees at Naiband  Cape, the flat plains in the northern region, forested plains, and deep rocky valleys in the southern part collectively showcase the most breathtaking natural landscapes of the Persian Gulf coastline in this park. Naiband National Park serves as the connecting point between the mountains of Asaluyeh and the Persian Gulf, and it is considered one of the beauties of the South Pars region.
