LMRA CEO receives Sri Lanka’s Charge d’Affaires

Manama, Feb. 9 (BNA): Nebras Talib, CEO of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and Chairman of the National Committee for Combating Trafficking in Persons, received Madhuka Harshani Silva, Charge d’Affaires of Sri Lanka to Bahrain.
The CEO emphasised the importance of strengthening cooperation between Bahrain and Sri Lanka across various domains to further enhance bilateral relations.
He highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to improving the labour environment to safeguard the rights of all parties, noting the launch of several pioneering initiatives.
The CEO urged civil society organisations representing expatriate communities to support government efforts by intensifying awareness campaigns on workers’ rights and responsibilities, as well as the importance of adhering to regulations and laws, contributing to their stability and the protection of their rights.
