With the participation of 145 companies from 15 countries... The Int'l Oil, Gas and Energy Exhibition Inaugurated in Basra

Basra /NINA/ -Basra Governor, Asaad Abdul Amir Al-Eidani, inaugurated today, Tuesday, the International Oil, Gas, Energy and Petrochemicals Exhibition, with the participation of 145 international, Arab and local companies, representing 15 countries. It will continue for four days at Basra International Exhibition Grounds in Maqal area.

The governor stressed in a speech he delivered during the inauguration ceremony that Basra is the economic artery of Iraq, and that such exhibitions contribute to the exchange of experiences and the development of the oil and gas sector.

He also expressed his optimism about a bright future for Basra thanks to the efforts made and joint cooperation between local and international companies to enhance investment.

For his part, the Chairman of the Basra Provincial Council, Khalaf Al-Badran, delivered a speech in which he stressed that Basra has accustomed everyone to its valuable initiatives to develop the governorate, thanks to its wise leadership represented by the governor. Al-Badran explained that holding this exhibition confirms Basra's position and strengthens its position to be the economic capital of Iraq, noting that the development witnessed by the governorate has become evident and recognized at the level of all governorates.

 Al-Badran referred to "the recent coordination conference attended by the Prime Minister and officials, where Basra's achievements were praised, as the Prime Minister gave an example of the projects and developments achieved there." 

He also revealed that the local government received a promise from the governor to establish a larger exhibition than the current one, stressing the provincial council's support for this ambitious project, and welcoming all guests and companies participating in this important event.

The exhibition displayed models of equipment and machines specialized in the field of oil and gas and petrochemical companies, and technology specializations. /End
