Iranian Foreign Ministry: Al-Sudani will discuss these files in Tehran

Baghdad /NINA/ -The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced: "The visit of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani scheduled for next Wednesday to Tehran comes at the official invitation of President Masoud Pezeshkian, to discuss bilateral relations, implement existing understandings, and developments in the region and in Syria." 

Ministry spokesman Esmail Baqaei said in a press conference, "What was recently circulated about Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi about the danger of forming an Islamic State in Syria is incorrect, and it is a "rumor." The Foreign Minister's recent interview with Chinese television can be reviewed," noting that "the entire region must respect the choice of the Syrian people, and our positions on Syria are clear and we have announced them on various issues." 

He stressed that "the American and Israeli threats to attack Iran's peaceful nuclear facilities violate the UN Charter and threaten international security, and that Iran is acting decisively in defense of its territory and sovereignty, and that this issue specifically constitutes a threat to the nuclear facilities of a country and a violation of Resolution 533 of the Board of Governors, and constitutes a threat to international peace and security." / End
