Bahrain Embassy in Malaysia celebrates National Day, 50 years of diplomatic ties

Kuala Lumpur, Dec. 13 (BNA): The Embassy of Bahrain in Malaysia hosted a reception to celebrate Bahrain’s National Day, commemorating the establishment of the modern Bahraini state as a Muslim Arab state by its founder Ahmed Al Fateh in 1783, and the anniversary of the accession of His Majesty the King to the throne. The event also marked the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Bahrain and Malaysia.
Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA), and Ewon Benedick, Malaysian Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, attended the event
Dr. Waleed Khalifa Al Manea, the Bahraini Ambassador to Malaysia, highlighted the significance of the occasion and commended His Majesty the King’s leadership over the past 25 years in fostering values of tolerance, coexistence, and solidarity.
Dr. Al Manea emphasised the strong ties between Bahrain and Malaysia, rooted in shared values and cooperation since 1974, and affirmed both nations’ commitment to strengthening collaboration across various domains.
The event featured a traditional “Jalwa” performance by Bahraini students, a video showcasing Bahrain-Malaysia relations and Bahrain’s achievements, and a performance by the Central Band of the Royal Malay Regiment, which delighted the audience with Bahraini musical pieces.
