Minister of State at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Meets UN Special Envoy for Syria

Doha, December 08 (QNA) - HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi met today with HE UN Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen, on the sidelines of the Doha Forum 2024.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in Syria.
During the meeting, HE the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the State of Qatar is following with great interest the developments in Syria and its unwavering support for the Syrian people and their choices, stressing the importance of adopting dialogue between all parties in a way that stops the bloodshed of the people, preserves the state's national institutions, and protects the unity and integrity of its territories.
His Excellency also noted the need for concerted international efforts, including those of the United Nations and its agencies, to support the Syrian people and achieve their legitimate aspirations for security, stability, and prosperity. (QNA)
