Saudi Arabia Initiates Second Phase of Aid to Assist Lebanese People
Beirut, December 04, 2024, SPA -- In line with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to humanitarian efforts, and in accordance with the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has initiated a mission to provide relief and humanitarian assistance to people affected by crisis and the displaced in Lebanon.
This endeavor included sending 27 relief planes loaded with essential supplies such as food, shelter material, medical aid, baby formula, personal care items, and winter supplies, including blankets.
The aid was distributed in collaboration with relevant Lebanese authorities to displaced families residing in shelters in various regions of Lebanon, as the Kingdom's contribution to alleviating the humanitarian crisis.
Continuing these efforts, KSrelief announced today that it initiates the second phase of Saudi aid, which entails carrying out various food, shelter, and health projects to meet the needs of Lebanese families. This phase will be carried out in collaboration with several UN and international humanitarian organizations, as well as local community and institutions.
This endeavor aims to alleviate the suffering of the Lebanese people and is expected to help meet the needs of over 1.6 million individuals.
