PM Confirms Iraq's Keenness To Open Partnership Horizons With Pakistan

Baghdad /NINA/ -Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani stressed, today, Tuesday, Iraq's keenness to open horizons for partnership with Pakistan.

A statement from his media office stated that al-Sudani received, today, Tuesday, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, according to the statement, they discussed areas of joint cooperation in the security field, confronting terrorism, cybersecurity, localizing military industries, training, and employing artificial intelligence in these fields.

 The Prime Minister stressed Iraq's keenness to open up partnership horizons with Pakistan, based on the historical, social, cultural and economic commonalities that unite the two friendly peoples, pointing to the need for the Arab and Islamic worlds to join forces to stop the aggression on Gaza and prevent the genocide of our people in Palestine. 

For his part, General Shamshad Mirza conveyed to Al-Sudani the greetings of the Pakistani Prime Minister, expressing his appreciation for the Iraqi experience in combating terrorism, launching the wheel of economic development and building infrastructure, in addition to the positive regional role played by Iraq and its support for the security and stability of the region. /End
