International road at the Syrian-Lebanese border temporarily reopened to facilitate return of passengers into Lebanon
Damascus countryside, SANA- The Syrian authorities on Wednesday launched works to reopen the international road linking the Jdeidet Yabous crossing with the Lebanese border after filling in the craters resulting from the Israeli aggression and creating a temporary road until the completion of the full rehabilitation works.
Syrian officials at the border site said that the crossing is considered as “real artery between Syria and Lebanon, and with the efforts of Damascus countryside governorate and the support of some sides, works began since the early morning to fill the craters and rehabilitate the road to enable arrivals and those coming to and from Lebanon to cross easily.”
The Israeli entity launched a series of raids during its 66-day aggression on Lebanon, targeting al-Masnaa road and the border crossings between Lebanon and Syria, causing massive material damage to roads, bridges and facilities.
