PM Discusses With The Japanese Ambassador The Developments In Gaza And Lebanon

Baghdad / NINA / -Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received the Japanese Ambassador to Iraq, Futoshi Matsumoto, on the occasion of the end of his tenure as his country's ambassador.

The Prime Minister appreciated the ambassador's role in establishing and strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, which are witnessing cooperation in many fields.

He pointed out, according to a statement by his media office, to the contribution of Japanese companies in implementing many important projects, within the framework of Iraq's policy of achieving economic integration and openness to the regional and international surroundings.

Al-Sudani touched on the developments in Gaza and Lebanon and the persistence of the occupying entity in its aggression, stressing Iraq's position in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples, rejecting war and expanding the conflict, and calling for achieving peace in the region./ End
