Global Leaders Converge to Address Maritime Security in an AI-Driven Era at the 3rd Saudi International Maritime Forum
Riyadh, November 18, 2024, SPA -- Under the patronage of Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the third Saudi International Maritime Forum will start in Dhahran tomorrow, bringing together senior naval leaders from around the globe, government officials, heads of maritime companies, and representatives of regulatory bodies that are instrumental in shaping maritime policies and standards.
Held by the Royal Saudi Naval Forces under the theme "Maritime Security in the Era of Artificial Intelligence", the three-day forum aims to promote the concept of maritime security, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise among naval commanders, raise awareness about the importance of preserving the marine environment, and underscore the need to adopt cutting-edge technologies to enhance maritime security.
In various sessions and workshops, some 42 speakers will address five key strategic themes: maritime strategies in the era of AI, policies and regulations to integrate AI into maritime operations, modern maritime systems and their impact on maritime security and cybersecurity challenges, maritime training and human resources development in light of the AI revolution, and the future of military industries in the field of AI.
An accompanying exhibition will be held alongside the forum, featuring the latest equipment and technologies in maritime security; 29 government agencies and 23 local and international companies will take part in the exhibtion.
