Iraqchi: The President is Personally Following Up on the Implementation of Agreements between Iran and Iraq
The Foreign Minister, referring to the significant achievements of the President's visit to Iraq, stated that the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran is personally following up on the implementation of the agreements between the two countries and the comprehensive expansion of bilateral relations.
According to Mehr News Agency, Qasem al-Araji, Iraq's National Security Adviser, who is leading a security delegation visiting Iran, met with Foreign Minister Iraqchi.
In this meeting, the Iranian Foreign Minister highlighted the excellent relations between Tehran and Baghdad in all areas and emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two countries in the security field. He noted that advancing this cooperation would further develop relations, particularly in the economic sector.
Iraqchi emphasized that the relations between the two countries are strategic and outstanding, stating that Iran considers the security of Iraq to be its own security, and expressed hope that the full implementation of the security agreement would ensure sustainable security in the border regions of both countries.
Referring to the significant achievements of the President's visit to Iraq, the Foreign Minister emphasized that the President of Iran is personally monitoring the implementation of the agreements between the two countries and the expansion of bilateral relations in all areas.
The Iraqi National Security Adviser, in his report on the progress of the implementation of the security agreement between the two countries, reiterated Iraq’s commitment to its full implementation.
He added that Iran and Iraq, as two Muslim countries, brothers, and neighbors, enjoy exceptional relations under the security and stability of their borders, which is exemplified by the safe and magnificent holding of the Arbaeen pilgrimage this year, with more than 21 million pilgrims traveling in complete security.
Al-Araji assured that Iraq considers the security of Iran to be its own and that any anti-security action against Iran would be met with action from both the central government and the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq.
Both sides also discussed the latest developments in Gaza and Lebanon and emphasized the need for greater collaboration between Islamic countries to stop the war crimes of the Israeli regime in Gaza and Lebanon and to send humanitarian aid to the refugees.
