Iran keen on improved diplomatic exchanges with other states

The Islamic Republic of Iran is willing to develop diplomatic exchanges with other states, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said.

Addressing chancellors of medical sciences universities, he stressed that Iran cannot be constructed without interaction with the world.

He added however that such an interaction should be based on justice.

Referring to landmark 85 percent turnout in the democratic election on June 22, he said the Iranian nation has the potential to leave impacts on universal equations.

Elsewhere in his speech, he called on the US President Barrack Obama for a face-to-face debate at the UN Headquarters.

President Obama has extended hand of friendship to Iran.

Praising Iran’s achievements in the area of medical sciences in the past three decades, President Ahmadinejad said Iran should turn to the regional medical pole.

He said Iran has reached self-sufficiency in pharmaceutical industry, underlining the need for making greater efforts to achieve self-sufficiency in the field of manufacturing medical equipment and modern devices applied for medical treatment.
