Kyrgyz ambassador presents credentials to President of Pakistan

A ceremony of presenting credentials by Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Avazbek Atakhanov to the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari was held in Islamabad.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Ambassador Avazbek Atakhanov, conveying fraternal greetings on behalf of President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov to the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, noted that Pakistan is a fraternal and friendly country for Kyrgyzstan, with which centuries-old historical and cultural ties are associated.

He noted that Pakistan occupies a special place in the foreign policy of Kyrgyzstan, which is open to comprehensive cooperation and is ready to cooperate with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan at a qualitatively new level.

The new ambassador assured that he would make every effort to further strengthen the friendship between the two fraternal countries, successfully develop comprehensive cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan, including in the trade, economic and investment spheres. For his part, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari conveyed his best wishes to President Sadyr Zhaparov, congratulated Ambassador Avazbek Atakhanov on his high appointment, wished him success in his work, noting that Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan should actively cooperate with each other both at the bilateral and multilateral levels, as they are united by common historical and cultural values.
