Ambassador to Saudi Arabia participates in donor conference for displaced refugees

Jeddah, Oct. 27 (BNA): Shaikh Ali bin Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Khalifa, Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and its Permanent Delegate to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, participated in the donors' conference to support displaced people and refugees in the Sahel and Lake Chad Region.
The conference was hosted by Saudi Arabia and represented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center in collaboration with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and coordinated with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
The conference discussed humanitarian and developmental initiatives targeting affected populations, including displaced people and refugees, were reviewed. This included coordinated UN humanitarian response plans and efforts to raise awareness of the multifaceted crisis. The conference aimed to establish nine strong partnerships to enhance effective humanitarian response and support for long-term solutions.
