Lions lose to Port by 48 points
Brisbane utility Jared Brennan faces a headbutt charge after inexplicably snapping
during his side's 48-point loss to Port Adelaide.
Brennan was charged with headbutting Power onballer Josh Carr in the last quarter of
Port's convincing 19.14 (128) to 11.14 (80) triumph at AAMI Stadium.
The Lion threw Carr to the ground on the members wing as players awaited a centre
bounce early in the final term.
Shortly after being penalised, Brennan walked at Carr and headbutted his opponent,
sending the Power player from the field with a cut eye.

clearance king David Rodan, the poise of Peter Burgoyne and Kane Cornes' relentless
running.

to a 21-point lead.

Those three majors were much welcomed by the visitors, who to that stage had

short-lived as Port's Ebert and Tredrea combined for a batch of three goals which

But the Lions persisted and three late goals brought them within striking distance,
