EDB notes continued GDP growth in Kyrgyzstan

“Kyrgyzstan's GDP growth accelerated to 8.4% in January-September 2024, after 6.6% in January-August,” the Eurasian Development Bank said in its weekly review.
Analysts noted that much of the growth is driven by a boom in the construction sector, a good pace of domestic trade and an increase in agricultural production.
“High consumer activity is accompanied by growth in real wages, net remittance inflows and consumer lending. The positive dynamics of agriculture was formed in the conditions of high water in May-September 2024, replacing last year's period of low water,” the review said.
Positive dynamics is also noted in the real sector of economy. The volume of industrial production grew by 4.2% in January-September, after 0.7% in January-August. The positive impact on this indicator had a positive effect on the improvement of the situation in the sector of production of basic metals.
In general, the EDB partner countries show stability of key indicators of economic development. Inflation is declining or does not exceed the forecast values, industrial production and food output are steadily increasing.
