Kyrgyzstan and Russia enhance cooperation in education

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov met in Bishkek with a delegation led by Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Administration for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries Anton Rybakov.
During the meeting, the sides discussed current issues of cultural and humanitarian cooperation in the field of education between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
Bishkek hosted the grand opening of the Kyrgyz-Russian Educational Forum on October 14 -15. The event brought together more than 70 universities from Russia and Kyrgyzstan and includes an exhibition of Russian higher education. The forum was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic and Rossotrudnichestvo with the support of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation.
The main goal of the forum is to strengthen educational ties between the two countries, exchange best practices and expand interaction between universities and the real sector of the economy. The forum program includes more than 30 thematic sessions at four different venues, where topical issues of artificial intelligence, engineering education, digitalization in public administration and business, as well as personnel training for medicine, the agricultural sector and transport are discussed.
The opening of the forum was accompanied by speeches by Edil Baisalov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Kyrgyz Republic Sergey Vakunov, Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva and other guests.
Key topics of the forum include the interaction of universities with industrial partners, the development of youth entrepreneurship, as well as new technologies in education. Particular attention is paid to academic mobility and the prospects for the development of joint educational programs. During the event, the participants will discuss in detail the issues of cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation in the field of mining, nuclear medicine and engineering education.
The exhibition of Russian higher education is held at the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn on October 14-15. The exhibition presents more than 40 universities of Russia, including leading universities of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and other cities. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to learn about the possibilities of admission to budget places and educational programs under quotas of the Government of Russia. The forum is an important platform for dialogue between educational institutions of the two countries and the creation of new opportunities for young people in the Kyrgyz Republic and Russia.
