Kyrgyzstan to export apples to China

Agroproduct Asia in Sokuluk district of Kyrgyzstan’s Chui Oblast is the first enterprise in the country to freeze fresh fruit, the Ministry of Agriculture reported.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev familiarized with the company's activities and problems during a field meeting.
The company has two warehouses with a total capacity of 7,000 tons. More than 90% of the company's production is exported to such large Russian retail chains as Magnit, Pyaterochka, Lenta.
In 3 years, the company has exported more than 8,000 tons of products, including apples, grapes, peaches, carrots, potatoes, onions and cabbage. Agroproduct Asia also has automatic washing, sorting and packaging lines for apples and carrots.
The company has planted 100 hectares of intensive apple orchards of 5 varieties to increase its raw material base.
As a result of the meeting, a number of decisions were made to ensure the domestic market and export the company's products to China and other neighboring countries.
