Georgian Vice Prime Minister Meets with Federation of Saudi Chambers Chairman
Tbilisi, October 3, 2024, SPA -- Georgian First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili met today in Tbilisi with Federation of Saudi Chambers Chairman Hassan Moejeb Alhwaizy and a delegation of Saudi investors and government representatives.
The two sides discussed establishing a Georgian bank in Saudi Arabia to facilitate trade and investment. The initiative aims to enhance financial cooperation.
Both sides agreed to form a joint Saudi-Georgian team to manage economic affairs. The team will be under the direct supervision of the vice prime minister.
The joint team will work to boost bilateral trade, attract Saudi investment to Georgia, and address challenges to elevate economic cooperation.
The Saudi business delegation also met with officials from the Georgian Ministry of Agriculture. They explored investment opportunities in Georgia's agricultural sector and discussed collaboration on food security.
