Kyrgyzstan sends humanitarian aid to Afghanistan
A 120-ton batch of humanitarian aid has been delivered to Afghanistan from Kyrgyzstan, the Kyrgyz Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
A convoy with humanitarian aid left Kyrgyzstan for Afghanistan on Sept. 25. The humanitarian cargo was delivered to a local warehouse on Sept. 28.
This humanitarian aid was organized under the leadership of Emergency Minister Boobek Azhikeyev on behalf of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov.
In February 2024, during the meeting of the Sixth Regional Dialogue of Secretaries of Security Councils/National Security Advisors on Afghanistan and at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, President Sadyr Zhaparov called on the international community to unite and support the people of Afghanistan.
Previously, Kyrgyzstan has already provided humanitarian assistance to the residents of Afghanistan affected by the natural disaster.
