FM Kulubaev meets with OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, FM of Malta

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev held a bilateral meeting with OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Minister of Foreign, European Affairs and Trade of Malta Ian Borch.
The meeting took place on the margins of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
The parties expressed interest in intensifying bilateral dialog and discussed potential areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.
During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for the development of bilateral relations in various spheres, including cooperation in the international arena.
Jeenbek Kulubaev informed about the candidacy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the non-permanent members of the UN Security Council for 2027-2028, and expressed a request for support for Kyrgyzstan's candidacy.
In addition, the ministers discussed topical issues of Kyrgyzstan's interaction with the OSCE, as well as current issues on the agenda of the Maltese Chairmanship.
Kulubaev assured that the Kyrgyz Republic supports the efforts of OSCE Chairman Ian Borch to appoint the new leadership of the Organization.
In turn, Ian Borch noted that the Maltese Chairmanship fully supports the activities of the OSCE Academy in Bishkek.
