Maldives President Meets with Saudi Foreign Minister

New York, September 24, 2024, SPA -- Republic of Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu met here today with Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The minister conveyed the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to President Muizzu, and wished Maldives continued progress and prosperity.
President Muizzu sent his greetings and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HRH the Crown Prince, and the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The two sides discussed relations between the two countries, ways to enhance cooperation, the latest international developments and issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador to the US Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz and several Saudi officials.
