Mongolia Jumps 28 Places in E-Government Development Index
Ulaanbaatar, September 19, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The E-Government Development Index (EGDI), updated every two years by the United Nations, ranks countries based on their development in electronic government. According to the latest EGDI report, Mongolia ranked 46th out of 193 countries in 2024. This information was presented at the Cabinet meeting on September 18, 2024.
Mongolia's ranking has significantly improved in recent years. In 2022, the country ranked 74th, but in 2024, it moved up 28 places to 46th. Mongolia also performed well in the E-Participation Index, which measures how citizens can participate in government decision-making through electronic channels. In 2024, Mongolia ranked 37th out of 193 countries in the E-Participation Index, an increase of 20 places compared to its ranking in 2022.
