Saudi Health Minister Visits Cuba to Strengthen Healthcare Cooperation
Havana, September 19, 2024, SPA -- Saudi Minister of Health Fahd bin Abdurrahman Al-Jalajel today begins an official visit to the Republic of Cuba aimed at strengthening cooperation in the health sector between Saudi Arabia and Cuba, and to consolidate bilateral relations that contribute to achieving better health. These align with the objectives of the health-sector transformation program within Saudi Vision 2030, by enhancing the efficiency of health services provided and leveraging international experiences and expertise in the health sector.
During the visit, the minister of health is scheduled to meet with his Cuban counterpart, Dr. Jose Angel Portal Miranda, as well as several senior officials and health experts in the Cuban government to discuss ways to exchange experiences and knowledge in health fields. The visit will also include field trips to some of the leading health institutions in Cuba.
The minister will be accompanied by a high-level health delegation, including representatives from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, the Seha Virtual Hospital, and several ministry leaders.
