President Zhaparov meets with Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz

Today, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov met with Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) Olaf Scholz in Astana as part of a working visit to Kazakhstan.
The presidential press service said that they discussed current issues of the Kyrgyz-German agenda in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
President Sadyr Zhaparov noted that Kyrgyzstan highly values the established friendly relations with Germany, which is one of Kyrgyzstan's important partners in the European Union.
He expressed satisfaction with the intensification of Kyrgyz-German cooperation, noting the successful official visit of Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier to Kyrgyzstan last year.
Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized that the Kyrgyz side pays great attention to the development of economic ties with Germany, noting the gradual increase in trade turnover between the two countries.
The president emphasized that one of the main tasks of Kyrgyzstan is to attract foreign investment and strengthen international cooperation. In this area, Germany is an important partner for the Kyrgyz side. Kyrgyzstan highly values the experience and knowledge that German companies can bring to the country. In turn, the Kyrgyz side is ready to provide favorable conditions for German investors, including various benefits and protection of investors' rights.
Chancellor Olaf Scholz, thanking Sadyr Zhaparov for the opportunity to meet, noted with satisfaction the interest and readiness to continue developing bilateral relations with Kyrgyzstan.
Olaf Scholz, recalling the visit of President Sadyr Zhaparov to Berlin last year, emphasized that this clearly shows that Kyrgyzstan and Germany are actively cooperating on specific issues.
He also noted that there are many topics for deepening cooperation between the two sides, highlighting one of the most pressing today - the issue of migration of specialists from Kyrgyzstan to Germany, who are of great interest to German enterprises.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the course of strengthening and developing Kyrgyz-German relations in all areas of mutual interest.
