Kyrgyzstan, Russia sign agreement on cooperation in geology

The 27th session of the CIS Intergovernmental Council, dedicated to issues of geology and subsoil protection, has ended, the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
During the event, representatives of the participating countries discussed achievements and plans within the framework of the implementation of the "Perspective Plan of Joint Work on Exploration, Use and Protection of Subsoil for 2023-2030".
Particular attention was paid to the digitalization of processes, the creation of modern geological maps, metallogenic studies and monitoring of the geological environment.
Representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Uzbekistan spoke in detail about their successes in the development of the geological industry, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation and the introduction of innovative technologies. One of the key outcomes of the session was the signing of a cooperation agreement between the State Enterprise "Kyrgyzgeology" and the Federal State Budgetary Institution "All-Russian Scientific Research Geological Institute named after Karpinsky". The agreement is aimed at strengthening scientific research cooperation, exchanging experience in the field of geological study of the subsoil and rational nature management.
This agreement lays the foundation for further strengthening of ties between Kyrgyzstan and Russia in the field of geology and promotes the development of effective solutions for the protection and use of natural resources.
