German Firms On 5-day Visit To Malaysia To Explore Opportunities In Water Management
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 9 (Bernama) -- Eleven German water technology leaders will be in Malaysia for five days starting Monday to present innovative solutions and explore potential partnerships with businesses here.
In a statement, the Malaysian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MGCC) said it will host the delegation from the water supply and water treatment sectors from Sept 9 to 13.
The 11 companies are Impreg Group GmbH, Nivus GmbH, Rädlinger Primus Line GmbH, Vega Grieshaber KG, Wero Antriebstechnik GmbH, Allweiler GmbH, GHS Separationstechnik GmbH, Haver & Boecker OHG, MSE Filtepressen GmbH, Weber-Entec GmbH & Co KG, and Behncke GmbH.
MGCC said the five-day business initiation trip features a one-day conference highlighting German solutions and technologies in water supply management and business-matching sessions between Malaysian industry players and solution providers from Germany.
“There will also be a roundtable discussion with the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation on the management of water supply and wastewater services in Malaysia, and visits to the National Water Services Commission, a water treatment plant managed by Pengurusan Air Selangor and a sewage treatment plant managed by Indah Water Konsortium,” it said.
MGCC executive director Jan Noether said the bilateral business trip presents a unique opportunity to integrate advanced technologies and strategies that will significantly contribute to Malaysia’s sustainability efforts.
“We are delighted to host this exceptional group of German water technology leaders. Their expertise and innovative solutions are crucial to advancing our shared goals of achieving net zero,” he said.
The trip is organised by MGCC in cooperation with SBS Systems for Business Solutions, on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action, along with project partners the German Water Partnership and the Malaysian Water Association.
