OIC Condemns the Killing of a Turkish-American Activist by Israeli Occupation Forces

Jeddah, September 08, 2024, SPA -- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the growing Israeli occupation crimes in the occupied Palestinian territory, which led Friday to the killing of American-Turkish activist Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, 26, by the Israeli occupation forces during her participation in a peaceful march against illegal settlements in the town of Beita, south of Nablus, and of Bana Amjad Bakr, 13, during attacks by extremist settler militias, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, on the village of Qaryut, south of Nablus.
The organization holds Israel, the occupying power, responsible for these heinous crimes, which are an extension of the genocide and organized terrorism practiced daily by the Israeli occupation forces against Palestinian civilians, in flagrant violation of all international laws and norms, and relevant United Nations resolutions. It also called for forming an independent international commission to investigate these crimes and hold the perpetrators accountable.
The organization also urged the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to assume its responsibilities and enforce its resolutions, including imposing an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire in Gaza Strip and putting an end to the policy of colonial settlement and illegal Israeli occupation of the territory of the State of Palestine.
