KFSHRC to Unveil Groundbreaking Gen-AI Innovation at GAIN in Riyadh

Riyadh, September 08, 2024, SPA -- King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSHRC) said in a press release issued today that it is set to unveil its latest breakthrough in generative AI at the 3rd edition of the Global AI Summit (GAIN).
The summit will take place at King Abdulaziz International Convention Centre in Riyadh from September 10 to 12, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA).
According to the release, KFSHRC will present its cutting-edge, locally developed, generative AI technology designed to analyze and harness vast data sets, "driving unparalleled efficiency" across the hospital's operations.
The release states that this innovative technology is "set to revolutionize healthcare delivery, empowering physicians to offer immediate, precise solutions to patients."
KFSHRC emphasized that upon completing a rigorous verification process, including stringent accuracy, reliability, and safety tests, this technology will be seamlessly integrated into the hospital's operations, reinforcing KFSHRC's position as a leader in global healthcare.
According to KFSHRC, this advanced AI system will significantly streamline the hospital's operations by reducing the time required to summarize and analyze scientific publications and internal policies, while also equipping staff with tools to effectively monitor patient pathways and derive insights from data sets, ultimately elevating the overall patient experience.
KFSHRC Chief Information Officer Dr. Osama Alswailem said that the hospital's participation in this world-renowned event, organized by SDAIA, underscores its leadership in developing and applying generative AI technologies in healthcare.
This technology improves the efficiency and outcomes of healthcare institutions, and the delivery of personalized, precision care. Furthermore, it is proof of the innovative strides made at KFSHRC by talented Saudi professionals, consistent with the hospital's commitment to fostering local expertise and driving innovation in the sector.
KFSHRC Healthcare Intelligence Informatics Officer Professor Ahmad Abusalah will highlight, at the summit, the hospital's pioneering efforts in applying AI in healthcare, and detail the transformative impact of these innovations.
