2024 National Schoolchildren's Games Closes in DPRK
Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- The 2024 National Schoolchildren's Games closed with a due ceremony.
The games started in January, and competitions were made in 18 events, including Taekwon-Do, basketball, volleyball and speed skating.
Members of various school sports groups from Pyongyang Municipality and South Hamgyong and North and South Phyongan provinces proved successful in each match.
Present at the closing ceremony held at the Central Youth Hall on September 3 were officials of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League and the provincial youth league committees and officials, teachers and students of exemplary schools and schoolchildren in Pyongyang.
The provincial standings were announced. Citations and trophy cups were awarded to the successful teams and the best player prize to exemplary members of school sports groups.
Pae Chung Il, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made a closing address. -0-
