Temporary trading centre opens for Vietnamese traders in Warsaw after fire

Hanoi, September 4 (VNA) — Temporary shopping centre Marywilska 44 in Warsaw has officially opened just over three months after a fire that destroyed more than 1,400 stalls, most of which were run by Vietnamese traders.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, President of Marywilska 44 Małgorzata Konarska emphasised that it is an important day for all traders who suffered damage caused by the fire on May 12.

She affirmed that she will closely coordinate with relevant agencies and local authorities to reconstruct the Marywilska Trade Centre as soon as possible.

On this occasion, Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland Ha Hoang Hai expressed gratitude to the centre’s management board and local authorities for their support in helping Vietnamese traders at the shopping mall overcome the fire's consequences.

Vietnamese traders own more than 50% of the stalls in the centre.-VNA
