King Abdulaziz International Competition Winners Praise Saudi Arabia’s Support for Quran Reciters

Makkah, August 22, 2024, SPA – Participants in the 44th annual King Abdulaziz International Holy Quran Competition for Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation have expressed their intense joy, extending their deep appreciation to the Saudi leadership for its unwavering support of Quran reciters.
The winners experienced an unparalleled sense of elation as their names were announced during the closing ceremony at the Grand Mosque, where they were honored with a prize of 500,000 Saudi Riyals.
"The feeling of joy is overwhelming and beyond words," remarked Jaber bin Hussein Al-Maliki from Saudi Arabia, who clinched the top spot in the competition's second category.
Al-Maliki expressed his pride in the competition being named after the founder of the nation, King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud.
Anas bin Ateeq from Bangladesh, the first-place winner in the third category, noted the fierce competition due to the presence of exceptional contestants from around the globe. He also commended the international panel of judges from diverse nations.
Sulaiman Sylla from Mali, who secured fifth place in the third category, extended his gratitude to the Kingdom's leadership for its support and care for the Holy Quran and its reciters.
Sylla also expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance for organizing this prestigious international event, praying for Allah's protection over the Kingdom and the continued security and stability of all Muslim nations.
