Special Relations Between Malaysia And Brunei Need To Be Preserved

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 12 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan has reaffirmed that the special relations between Malaysia and Brunei need to be preserved. 

According to a post on X by the Malaysian Foreign Ministry, Mohamad, speaking at the dinner to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Malaysia and Brunei diplomatic relations in Bandar Seri Begawan, on Sunday night, also encouraged efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Mohamad and Brunei’s Foreign Minister Erywan Pehin Yusof were guests of honour at the dinner.

The reception was also attended by Bruneian dignitaries, senior government officials of Brunei and foreign Heads of Mission.

Mohamad was currently on a two-day working visit to Brunei to attend the 25th Meeting of the Implementation of the Exchange of Letters between Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam (EOL-25).
