Advanced Teaching Methods Applied in DPRK

Pyongyang, June 29 (KCNA) -- Universities and colleges in the DPRK strive to explore and apply advanced teaching methods.
Kim Chaek University of Technology developed a new teaching method for improving the specialized ability through operation of a research task group. Its faculty of mechanical science and technology created a new teaching method for improving the students' machine-designing ability and has generalized it.
Pyongyang University of Medicine introduced into education practice a new teaching method, which integrated lecture, scientific research and treatment, contributing to raising the effectiveness of teaching on major subjects and enhancing the creative application ability of students.
A method of teaching in cooperation with field officials was invented at Pyongyang University of Transport. This research-type teaching method helps students develop their research and practical ability.
Similar achievements have been witnessed at other universities and colleges across the country. -0-
