FM: Bagheri’s Presence is Evidence of the Continued Strong Relations Between Iraq and Iran

Baghdad / NINA / Foreign Minister, Fuad Hussein confirmed: “The presence of Acting Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri is evidence of the continuation of strong relations between Iraq and Iran.”

He said in a joint press conference with Bagheri: “The presence of Iraqi delegations in Tehran to participate in offering condolences for the death of President Raisi and Foreign Minister Abdullahian is evidence of the close relations between the two countries.”

Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein said: “We are happy with today’s discussions with the acting Foreign Minister of Iran, and we touched on the ceasefire in Gaza, and the Iraqi position is clear in this regard.”

 He continued: “We talked about expanding the war to Lebanon, and we stressed that this would affect the entire region.”/ End 

For his part, Bagheri said: Iraq and Iran are two main pillars in the region.

 Bagheri said in a joint press conference with Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein: “We and Iraq have many things in common, and we share our joys and sorrows.”

 He added: “All segments of Iraqi society shared our condolences over the loss of our leaders.”

He added: “The view of Iran and Iraq towards the crimes of the Zionist entity in Gaza is shared, and the Palestinian people must be helped unconditionally, and we and Iraq agree to support the oppressed Palestinian people.”

Regarding his discussions with Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, Bagheri confirmed: “The meeting with the Foreign Minister was friendly and we discussed relations between the two countries.”/ End
