Practical Successes Made by Scientists and Technicians of State Academy of Sciences

Pyongyang, June 6 (KCNA) -- Scientists and technicians of the State Academy of Sciences of the DPRK have made practical successes conducive to the development of the national economy and the improvement of the people's standard of living at major worksites of different sectors.
They ensured the manufacture, installation and normal operation of equipment at over 10 objects of the Kangdong General Greenhouse Complex.
They displayed nutritive rice-transplanting machines at the exhibition of farm machines which was held in January last and registered successes in solving sci-tech problems arising in building major objects across the country.
They have also made progress in carrying out major tasks which are of practical significance in the development of science and technology of the country and the development of the metal and chemical industries.
They have learned about and solved in a sci-tech way the problems arising in the material supply and normal operation of the regional-industry factories which are being built in cities and counties across the country.
While doing the scientific research work for making contribution to the economic development and the improvement of the people's standard of living, several institutes under the State Academy of Sciences won the February 16 Science and Technology Prize and the prize for sci-tech innovation by carrying out object tasks of great significance of the state this year. -0-
