HM King congratulated by BDF Commander-in-Chief

Manama, May 27 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received a cable of congratulations from Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) on the women's military athletics team of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) winning first place in the 2nd World Military Half Marathon Championship that took place in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina, on May 23-26.

The female runners of BDF team won first place at the team and individual levels, thus winning the World Military Half Marathon Championship, while the men’s team got third place at the team level in the championship.
