Malaysia Participates In Bangladesh Kabaddi Competition
NEW DELHI, May 27 (Bernama) -- Malaysia is participating in the Bangabandhu Kabaddi Cup 2024 international tournament in Bangladesh.
Malaysia's High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Haznah Md Hashim, attended the inauguration at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Mirpur on Sunday. She wished the Malaysian Kabaddi team success in the tournament that runs until June 3.
Bangladesh's Youth and Sports Minister Nazmul Hassan Papon inaugurated the tournament, with the opening ceremony presided over by Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BKF) president and inspector general of police Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun.
Malaysia lost its opening match to Nepal 30-67 on Sunday. The Malaysian team was to take on Bangladesh in its next match scheduled for Monday.
