Saudi Arabia Launches 15 Hajj Guidelines In 16 Languages Including In The Malay Language
KUALA LUMPUR, May 16 (Bernama) -- The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has launched 15 detailed awareness guidelines in 16 languages, including in Malay to facilitate the pilgrimage for Hajj pilgrims this year.
In its official X account yesterday, the ministry stated that this initiative is part of the ongoing efforts of the Saudi Arabian government to facilitate the affairs of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims in performing their pilgrimage, in line with the country’s Vision 2030.
This initiative also aims to welcome pilgrims from across the world by making it easier for them to perform their rituals, as well as being one of the ministry’s efforts to communicate with the pilgrims to enhance their awareness for the Hajj season of 1445H/2024.
The ministry said the guidelines cover all stages of the pilgrimage journey, from travel preparation procedures, and the performance of Hajj and Umrah rituals, to the pilgrims' return to their home countries.
These guidelines can be accessed through its official website: https://www.haj.gov.sa/.
"This guide also provides answers to all the pilgrims' common questions in 16 languages including Arabic, English, French, Urdu, Bengali, Indonesian, Hausa, Amharic, Persian, Spanish, Turkish, Sinhala, Uzbek, Russian and Malay," he said.
The ministry also said the guide provides legal and health information and instructions, procedures, and regulations that pilgrims need to follow in simple language, pictures, detailed drawings, and a collection of video and audio clips.
