Malaysia’s Orchid Will Be Showcased At Kazanforum 2024

KUALA LUMPUR, May 14 (Bernama) -- Malaysia’s orchid will be showcased at the 15th edition of KazanForum 2024 which starts in Tatarstan on Tuesday, and will continue till Sunday (May 19).

Malaysia’s orchid producer Orchidmas Sdn Bhd shared the company’s participation in the forum on its Facebook page on Tuesday. 

“Malaysian Orchid Golden Gift-Box flies to Russia in conjunction with the  XV International Economic Forum "Russia-Islamic World KazanForum 2024,” said the posting.

KazanForum 2024 offers a platform for leading international economic and financial specialists from the Islamic world to strengthen ties between the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Russia in the economic, educational, social and cultural spheres.

Besides Malaysia this year more than 80 nations confirmed participation in the event, including representatives of the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Turkiye Iran, Libya, and other OIC member states.

The forum includes the Russia Halal Expo, cultural events,  fashion shows, competitions for young cooks, and excursions. It will also debut an international property market fair.

According to earlier media reports the forum was granted federal status by a decree signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, placing it among the top three most significant and attended international economic forums in the region. 

The Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok and the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum are the other two forums.
