Ankara Expresses Its Hope That Shipping Iraqi Oil Through Its Territory Will Resume Soon

Istanbul (NINA) - Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Oncu Keçali expressed Turkey's desire to resume shipping Iraqi oil to global markets through its territory as soon as possible.

Kaçali pointed out in a press statement today that the Iraqi-Turkish oil pipeline has been closed for some time and that Turkey informed Iraq, last October, of its readiness to resume shipping through the aforementioned pipeline.

Kaçali expressed his hope that the Iraqi parties would reach an agreement within the framework of dialogue and mutual understanding, and that shipping through the aforementioned pipeline would begin as soon as possible./End
