Malaysia's Health Minister Referred To Hospital For Suspected Renal Colic

KUALA LUMPUR, March 13 (Bernama) -- Malaysia’s Health Minister Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad was referred to the Emergency Department of a hospital in the early morning of Wednesday due to suspected symptoms of renal colic.

The Malaysian Ministry of Health, in a statement on Wednesday, said that he is currently in stable condition and receiving treatment.

“Let us all pray for his good health and speedy recovery to resume his duties,” the statement read.

Dzulkefly served as the Health Minister in Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s Pakatan Harapan Cabinet from 2018 to 2020. He was named as Health Minister again in the Unity Government's Cabinet reshuffle in December last year.
